Island Park, Idaho Fisherman's ParadiseScenic Island Park
is a year round playground. Wildlife is abundant and rivers are teaming
with trout. Island Park is a fisherman's paradise both in the summer
and winter and Island Park Idaho Fishing is some of the best in the
country. Enjoy spectacular ice fishing in addition to Henry's Lake's
typical production of 13 to 24 inch and occasionally 30 inch trout,
cutthroat, rainbow and brook trout. Half of those are natural spawners.
You can float with guide services or stream fish, troll with your own
boat or float tube. You'll see moose, elk, bear and even an occasional
bison as you fish in the various areas available such as Henry's Lake,
Henry's Fork of the Snake River, Madison River, Gibbon River and
Firehole in Yellowstone.

It is an easy way to explore this vast country. There are many horseback rides available which range from 1 to 3 hour tours. Don't forget your camera. Island Park SnowmobilingIsland Park Snowmobiling is awesome! There are hundreds of miles of groomed trails. One of them is right outside the door of Landon Lodge. How handy is that! There is also plenty of room to make trails in the famous mountains of Island Park. You can bring your own snowmobiles or rent them. You can even take a guided tour. These snowmobile trails give access to mountains rising more than 8,000 feet in elevation, including the Continental Divide. Follow the trail to the renowned Two Top or Mt. Jefferson for great hill climbing and powder bowls. Island Park Snowmobiling is some of the best in the area. There are over 40 miles of groomed cross country ski trails from Island Park to Harriman State Park system. If you do not have your own equipment it is readily available for you at many locations in Island Park for your Island Park Snowmobiling or cross country skiing.
